SCHEDULE
12 regular sessions + 2 weeks (performance & recording)
This updated program is sure to be a hit with the musician in your family. With many new experiences and learning opportunities, you don’t want to miss out!
ARCADIA ROCKS
With a new look, sound and palpable energy, this rejuvenated Band Program empowers and electrifies students to come together, create music and confidently hit the stage with their own band identity while having fun and honing their instrument. Students will collaborate with other musicians encountering different personalities, musical tastes and learning to work as a team.
At the end of the program, students will hit the stage at one of their community’s popular performance venues and rock out to the material they learned over the course of the program. To capture the essence of their band into sound waves, the band will spend a specified number of hours in an Arcadia Digital Studio recording their material. In addition, they will be privy to watching other bands record, learning about the process, and recording one song of their own with their band. All recorded material will be posted on our official Bandcamp page

CHECK IT OUT
Our band program has given our Arcadia musicians some amazing opportunities. In this particular case, Sony Music Canada approached us with the idea of our students recording a song and video for the Foo Fighters song “ The Sky Is A Neighbourhood”. This video was released on social media world wide. Here is the resulting video, filmed at Sony Music Canada’s sound stage and recorded at the Arcadia Woodbridge Recording Facility.
